Stelar77

A long long time ago on 7th July 2007 (7/7/7), a budding actor and director with a passion for 80s synth pop Lawrence Crawford was (by chance) seated at a wedding next to Sbob, the frontman of Glasgow indie pop band Bob Cuba.  Exactly 16 years later on 7th July 2023 (7/7/23) the songs that they created together will be released.

In between the above 2 events, various collaborations occurred between these 2 artistic geniuses (their words) starting with a kids musical TV show 'The Bumbles', several Rutherglen theatre shows and a short film 'The Kids Aren't Alright' before Lawrence returned to his synth roots to become Arkle, the Glasgow dance music artist.  Meanwhile, Sbob, beavering in the studio, wanted a new challenge to 'help make Arkle's brilliant dance synth tracks into pop classics' and with a dose of guitar fizz, vocals and studio trickery, Stelar77 was born.
